LittleBigPlanet 2有可能延期的消息最早是在Gamespot的updates中看到

內容敘述LittleBigPlanet 2日方官網將發售時間更改為2011年1月
然而僅有日方官網更新發售時間，其餘國家皆維持不變
零售商GameStop跟Amazon也無更動
但比起日方官網錯誤更動時間
レイ認為其他區域網站尚未更新或日本區域單獨延期可能性較高

隔不到一天Gamespot的updates又更新了

對於在發售倒數不到兩個月忽然延期
官方並沒有明確的說明
只表示對於發售時間的延後他們也相當地懊惱
但這都是為了帶給玩家最佳的內容
